Contact your doctor if depression returns. Diabetes patients - Your diabetes medication may need to be adjusted while taking Prozac. Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with an MAO inhibitor. After stopping Prozac, wait at least 5 weeks before starting an MAO inhibitor. Prozac may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use with caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination, or physical dexterity. Notify your doctor if you develop thoughts of suicide. Improvement may not be seen for several days to a few weeks. Do not take any over-the-counter or prescription medications or dietary supplements without talking with your health care provider. Patients with other medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Prozac. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if any of the following occurs: Fever; seizures; suicidal tendencies; heart pounding.
